Australian Muslim Social Service Agency (AMSSA ) was able to rent a
centre to provide the most needed activities for the community
which includes:

►Five daily prayers and Friday Khutbah
► Weekly after hours schools
► Taekwondo courses for all ages
►Family counseling
►Elderly support and respite for people with disability
►Weekly women classes
►Parenting classes with lectures of how to raise children in the west
►Interpreting and translating services
►Weekly and monthly Islamic lectures
►Homework club for the youth
►Mentoring the youth
►Employment and further studies advice
►Camping and holiday programs for the youth and families
►Voluntary resister (for the Muslim people who want to voluntarily
assist a Muslim individual or family who may be in need)
► Tajweed lessons for all ages and Qur’an memorization
►Gym

Alhamdulillah after a long struggle the organization was able to purchase a new property to be used as a Masjid
and Islamic centre for the community which will provide more activities such as:

►Community senior citizen services and assistance
►Mentoring(the youth, job seekers and those who are
already at work to keep it)
►Employment and educational pathways advices office
or the community
►Technical workshop(computer, carpentry, conventional
skills training e.t.c)
►Occasional forums and seminars for the community on things deemed necessary for the community to know such as rights and responsibilities as a citizen, tax obligations,
how to contribute to both our community and the mainstream society of Australia etc
►Yearly open days to let the mainstream community to know more about the services we offer
►Weekend classes

As our communities grow in numbers so is their needs which is naturally expanding. For that reason AMSSA
activities and services should always have a future plans to accommodate the ever changing needs of the community such as:

►Employing qualified and suitable personnel for the organization i.e. Imam
► Open private AMSSA Islamic school
►Marriage encouragement and financial assistance for the youth
►New Arabic language courses specific for the youth
►Hefz Qur’an competition
►Income generating projects for the Masjid to pay its expenses(not to be donation revenues dependent)
►Bilingual Islamic Library
►Modern bookshop
►Islamic child care service
►Provide Islamic services for the youth
►Annual Islamic conferences (invite scholars from overseas
